"Beyond competence, it takes thought, imagination and great passion"

Welcome

A passionate entrepreneur, leading projects and people in hospitality, Italian-made manufacturing and music production

With over 35 years of experience as an entrepreneur, my skills in management, marketing and music entertainment have enabled me to build businesses by taking an idea I believe in, developing a vision and creating the right team to make it happen.

People are at the heart of all the businesses and projects I’ve led. My business philosophy is grounded in having the utmost respect for each individual and understanding the importance of listening. This has given me the chance to build proficient teams of people to develop ideas, projects and grow successful businesses in various industries.

My Present Time

I am at an important stage in my life. My past has offered me an infinite number of challenges and incredible adventures, all of which come together to make me the person I am today. It has given me the skills and expertise that allow me to successfully operate in different fields of work. I feel an inexhaustible energy and strength that fill my mind and body when I wake up every day. This is the extraordinary present I live in today.

Tourism and Wellness

Welcome Happyness!
Kim Sooyoung and friends. February 2022

Over a period of 10 years I have grown a guest-centric boutique hotel – Hotel Marcantonio Rome – which welcomes guests from all over the world, and we have 3 other hotels opening soon. After working in manufacturing and exporting high quality Italian-made products across the globe, it was time to show the value of Italian hospitality to guests visiting from all different countries and cultures. This business is characterized by my personal dedication to building and offering hospitality based on a mix of the Japanese concept of wholeheartedly caring for guests – “Omotenashi” – and the welcoming nature of Italian tradition in Rome.

AUTOMOTIVE & TECHNOLOGY

Mercedes Benz 630 – Saoutchik 1928

Three years ago, I was invited to take a budding startup and turn it into a successful business. The concept was to use 3D technology to design and reproduce components for vintage cars and supercars. It’s a fusion of technology and creativity, using avant-garde technology to revive something that would otherwise be swallowed by the passage of time. What an incredible opportunity and exciting challenge to be a part of!

Music Entrepreneurship

“Melody is the great beauty of music”

Music has always had the incredible power to caress my soul, serving as a constant muse and a profound source of inspiration. It shapes the evocative elements that have consistently fueled all of my musical productions. From “Christmas il Musical,” the first Italian musical, to “Musica in movimento,” a concept show for Patrizia Laquidara, and “The Black Corsaire The Musical,” based on Emilio Salgari’s novel, as well as more commercially-driven productions.

Beyond the casual use we make of it every day, music serves as an important vehicle for disseminating crucial messages in a world that increasingly yearns for meaningful ideological references.

The time is now

I am now embarking on the most ambitious project of my life: the production of a new musical titled “LA TRAVIATA The Musical”  with the musician Mirco Dalporto.

For this innovative musical I want to put together an all-female top-notch creative team. I strongly believe that a creative team made up entirely of women with diverse backgrounds and experiences will bring a unique female perspective to this project.

Who better than women to think up and stage this story?

The result I’m aspiring to is a show with energy and impact like no other.

La Traviata is Giuseppe Verdi’s most performed opera in the world, with over 3000 performances since its debut. However, not everyone knows that the inspiration for La Traviata came from an extraordinary true story. Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata is based on Alexandre Dumas’ play inspired by the life of a remarkable and charismatic young woman who died in Paris at the age of 23 in the 19th century.

This is most certainly my most ambitious project to date. With such a famous, well-loved and well-known piece like ‘La Traviata’, there is an important sense of responsibility in respecting what has gone before, and creating something new from it for the future since its debut in 1853.
